Bernzomatic Gas Torch Defect Class Action

Merchant Law Group LLP is investigating a potential class action litigation against Newell Rubbermaid Inc. and Worthington Industries on behalf of Canadians who have sustained any injuries as a result of an explosion or fire caused by a leakage due to a manufacturing defect of a Map-Pro, Proplylene or Mapp cylinders after the torch or other device disconnects from the cylinder.

The cylinders were sold as replacement fuel and in torch kits under brand names including Worthington, Rothenberger, TurboTorch, Magna, Lenox, Ace BernzOmatic, Uniweld, Craftsman and Goss. These specific brands of Newell Rubbermaid Inc. and Worthington Industries cylinders may be unsafe and may suffer from quality issues with the valve in which there may be some leakage from the cylinder that, upon the ignition of the torch or other device attached to the cylinder, may cause a fire or may cause it to explode.
