Levaquin/Cipro/Avelox Class Action

December 2022 – Merchant Law Group LLP is pursuing a proposed class action lawsuit on behalf of certain Canadian residents, who:

 

  • were prescribed any of the following fluoroquinolone antibiotics: Levaquin®, Cipro®, Avelox®, Ran™-Ciproflox, Ran™-Ciprofloxacin, Apo-Ciproflox, Apo-Levofloxacin, Apo-Norflox, Novo-Ciprofloxacin, Novo-Levofloxacin, Novo-Norfloxacin, Teva-Ciprofloxacin, Teva-Levofloxacin, and Teva-Norfloxacin,
  • AND as a result of taking the same prescription(s), subsequently experienced an Achilles tendon ruptures or related tendon damage. [Please note, this proposed class action litigation concerns tendon injuries resulting from prescription use of the above drugs only.]

 
This proposed Canada-wide class action litigation is only being pursued by way of a lawsuit before the Saskatchewan Court of King’s Bench.  The outcome of that class action lawsuit may not be known for some years.
