Yahoo Email Data Breach Class Action
Important information – please review this website carefully and provide us your contact information:
A Canada-wide Class Action is being pursued by our law firm against Yahoo and Yahoo! relating to data breaches of their free email system occurring between 2012 to 2016, as well as data security intrusions of millions of Yahoo email accounts. If you received a notice from YAHOO about their Data Breaches, you may be affected and entitled to compensation if this class action litigation is successful in Canada.
Yahoo Inc. announced on September 22, 2016:
“The personal information of at least 500 million users was stolen in an attack on its accounts …The attacker was a “state-sponsored actor” and stolen information may include names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, encrypted passwords and, in some cases, unencrypted security questions and answers.”
If you have or had an email account with ending with @yahoo.com or @yahoo.ca, your confidential financial and personal information may have been accessed without your authorization. As a result, you may have been the victim of identity theft or needed online credit monitoring services to protect your financial information.
This class action litigation seeks financial compensation for all Canadian customers affected by Yahoo’s Data Breaches.
