Syringe Re-Use National Class Action
November 2008 - Merchant Law Group LLP has launched class proceedings against the Alberta Minister of Health, Saskatchewan Minister of Health, Minister for Health Canada, and several regional health authorities in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
The class action includes all persons in Alberta and Saskatchewan who received intravenous treatment in Alberta at the High Prairie Health Complex between January 1st, 1990 and November 10th, 2008, and in Saskatchewan at the Lloydminster General Hospital, Prince Albert out-patient psychiatric unit of the Prince Albert General Hospital, the Weyburn General Hospital, the Yorkton General Hospital, and the Swift Current General Hospital between January 1st, 2001 and November 10th, 2008.
