EpiPen / EpiPen Jr. Recall Canada Class Action
Merchant Law Group LLP is pursuing a proposed class action against Pfizer Canada seeking compensation on behalf of Canadians who purchased Pfizer EpiPen’s and EpiPen Jr. Auto-injectors and were affected by the Health Canada Recall.
On April 1st, 2017 Pfizer epinephrine auto-injection pens were recalled due to the products having been found to have a defective part that may result in the auto-injector failing to activate, or requiring increased force to activate. The products that were mentioned to be affected are the EpiPen (0.3 mg epinephrine) auto-injector lot number: 5GU763, expiry date May, 2017 and the EpiPen Jr (0.15mg epinephrine) auto-injector lot number: 5GR765, expiry date March 2017.
This recall is currently being conducted following two confirmed international reports of the device failing to activate.
If your Pfizer epinephrine auto-injection pens have fails to perform as anticipated during a life-threatening allergic reaction, fatal consequences may result. The proposed class action alleges that Pfizer Canada was negligent in their manufacturing of Pfizer EpiPen and Pfizer EpiPen Jr. auto-injectors. If you own or owned one of the defective EpiPen auto-injectors and were affected by the recall, you may be entitled to compensation.
