Merchant Law Group LLP has launched class action proceedings against Schering-Plough and Merck Frosst concerning NuvaRing contraceptive vaginal rings.
NuvaRing was approved for use in 2001 by the FDA and subsequently by Health Canada, and was acquired by Merck in 2009. It is alleged that NuvaRing causes health risks, including the risk of blood clots, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, stroke, and heart attack. It is alleged that NuvaRing releases hormones in greater amounts than represented by the manufacturers, thereby increasing the health risks and injuries associated with the use of NuvaRing.
The lawsuits will seek compensation for affected Canadians who used NuvaRing. Anyone who used NuvaRing is welcome to join this class action info list by completing the contact form below.
