Ford 1.6L Coolant System Failure Class Action

Merchant Law Group LLP is investigating a class action against Ford Motor Company of Canada and Ford Motor Company on behalf of Canadians who own or lease (or have previously owned or leased) vehicles equipped with a 1.6L EcoBoost GTDI engine (see list below), alleging that these vehicles suffer from design defects of the coolant system causing loss of engine coolant, overheating of the engine, and unexpected engine stalls, which are costly to repeatedly repair and put drivers, passengers, and other road users at risk of serious injury or death.

The specific vehicles involved include:

– 2013 and 2014 Ford Escape
– 2013 and 2014 Ford Fusion
– 2014 and 2015 Ford Fiesta ST
– 2013, 2014, and 2015 Ford Transit Connect

The class action would seek financial compensation, repairs, and other benefits for affected Canadians who own or lease one of the defective vehicles in question.
