  1. Class Counsel are pleased to announce that a proposed partial settlement has been reached.
  2. The proposed settlement applies to all residents of Canada who purchased or leased a 2011-2019 Hyundai Sonata; 2013-2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport; and/or, a 2014-2015, 2019 Hyundai Tucson equipped with a Theta II 2.0-litre or 2.4-litre GDI engine.
  3. The Court will hold a settlement approval hearing on February 23, 2021 to consider whether or not to approve the proposed partial settlement.

  5. For more information about the proposed partial settlement, please contact the Claims Administrator at 1-833-683-5860 or visit the Claims Administrator’s website at www.hyundaicanadathetaenginesettlement.com.
  6. If you wish to file an objection to the proposed settlement, you must deliver an Objection Form on or before February 12, 2021. Objections submitted after this date will not be considered.   7. If you wish to be excluded from the proposed settlement and not be bound by any order made in the action, you must deliver an Opt-Out Form on or before February 21, 2021.
