American Medical Systems Inc. – AMS TVM mesh implants
The Canada-wide TVM class action against American Medical Systems Inc. (AMS) settled successfully. The AMS Settlement has been approved by the Superior Court of Justice. The deadline to apply to the AMS Settlement in Canada is July 27, 2020.
However, in certain circumstances, a new individual claim may be submitted under clause b. below:
- July 27, 2020 – Deadline to submit your claim in the Initial Claim Period
The Initial Claim Period deadline was designed to compensate Class Members for any known mesh injuries they have suffered prior to July 27, 2020.
- July 27, 2022 – Deadline to submit your claim in the Supplemental Claim Period
The Supplemental Claim Period is designed to compensate Class Members for injuries sustained after July 27, 2020 or for worsening injuries after July 27, 2020, and to compensate Class Members who missed the Initial Claim Period deadline. If you wish to potentially make a compensation claim as part of the Supplemental Claim Period, please contact our law firm to submit a claim form to the Claims Administrator before July 27, 2022. If you do NOT submit an Individual Claim by July 27, 2022 your claim cannot be processed, and you will not be eligible for any benefits under the Settlement Agreement.
Please contact our law firm without delay if you wish to discuss submitting an individual compensation claim under the AMS class action settlement.

Transvaginal Mesh implants (commonly referred to as pelvic mesh, vaginal mesh, a “hammock” mesh, or a “sling” mesh) are generally used to treat pelvic organ prolapse (“POP”) and stress urinary incontinence (“SUI”) for female patients.
TVM implants have been associated with the development of a number of side effects, often due to mesh erosion through the vaginal wall, infection, pain, urinary problems, recurrence of prolapse and/or incontinence, bladder perforation, vaginal scarring, pain during sexual intercourse, and other problems which may lead to a significant decrease in quality of life due to discomfort and pain.
Our law firm has 12 local law offices across Canada in order to serve you better. If you wish to speak with one of our AMS mesh personal injury lawyers immediately (for a free consultation) please call or email us at email@example.com
