Ford Focus/Fiesta Class Action
2017 – Canadian Update – A class certification court hearing has taken placed regarding the Ford Dual Clutch Transmission Class Action Lawsuit, and our law firm is optimistic that the Courts will provide a positive ruling in favour of Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta vehicle owners in Canada. More updates will follow once a written ruling has been delivered by the Certification Hearing Judge.
Merchant Law Group LLP is pursuing national class action litigation against FORD MOTOR COMPANY and FORD MOTOR COMPANY of CANADA LTD., on behalf of Canadians who currently own or lease (or have previously owned or leased) a Ford Focus or Fiesta, alleging that these vehicles suffer from a design defect which puts drivers at risk of serious injury or death.
Affected Ford vehicles include (but are not limited to):
– 2012-2015 Ford Focus (equipped with the dual clutch transmission)
– 2011-2015 Ford Fiesta (equipped with the dual clutch transmission)
The class action seeks compensation and repair for affected Ford vehicle owners or lessees due to issues with the powershift transmission.
The class actions will seek financial compensation or benefits for affected Canadians who own or lease one of the defective vehicles in question.
