Holiday Inn Class Action (Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, Holiday Inns)

Merchant Law Group LLP is investigating class action litigation, regarding the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) including Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, Holiday Inns, and their failure to protect customers’ personal data and credit card information, and data breaches which have led to unauthorized charges occurring on customers’ credit cards, after these cards were used by customers at IHG hotel locations.

More than 1,100 locations across North America are impacted. The vast majority of affected hotels are branded either as Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express but other affected hotels, including Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, InterContinental, and Crowne Plaza locations, were also impacted.

Hotel guests credit card data appears to have been collected and breached between September 29 and December 29 of 2016, from credit card authorizations at hotel front desks, bars and restaurants in the IHG hotel chain.

This class action litigation will seek financial compensation for customers affected by IHG’s Data Breach.
