Merchant Law Group LLP is pursuing class action litigation on behalf of all Canadian residents who, during the period from October 1, 2018 to July 5, 2019, purchased CannTrust shares (CannTrust Holdings Inc., TSX: TRST) and held such CannTrust securities at the close of trading as of July 5, 2019.

The CannTrust Holdings class action was launched in the wake of a July 8, 2019 announcement that Health Canada had found CannTrust’s production facility in Pelham, Ontario to be non-compliant with certain regulations. Health Canada’s audit of CannTrust revealed that the company had been growing cannabis in unlicensed facilities from October 2018 to March 2019, and that the company had provided inaccurate information to Health Canada.

This class action alleges that CannTrust and certain of its officers/directors made misrepresentations by way of public statements and prospectuses, which represented that CannTrust was in material compliance with all regulations and permits, and failed to make timely disclosure of its unlicensed cultivation.

Shareholders who purchased TSX CannTrust shares between October 1, 2018 and July 5, 2019, and continued to hold those shares after July 5, are encouraged to complete the contact form below.
