Bard IVC Filter Class Action

Recours Collectif Filtre à veine cave inférieure (VCI) de Bard

Bard Inferior Vena Cava Filter Class Action – Merchant Law Group LLP is pursuing class action litigation regarding Inferior Vena Cava Bard filters (IVC) for patients implanted in Canada with IVC devices manufactured by Bard.

Bard IVC (inferior vena cava) filters are small medical devices designed to trap blood clots.  IVC filters are implanted in people at risk of developing blood clots. IVC Bard filters are intended to be retrievable, meaning a physician may remove the device after the risk of developing blood clots has subsided.

Reports to the FDA indicate that Bard IVC filters can migrate to the heart or lungs, or fracture and perforate other veins or organs.
