Depuy pinnacle metal on metal acetabular cup system Class Action

Merchant Law Group LLP has launched Canada-wide class action litigation regarding alleged defects with the “DePuy Pinnacle” metal on metal Acetabular Cup System (the “Device”), on behalf of Canadians experiencing adverse health effects.  [No other issues can be addressed by this class action. This lawsuit is still pending and liability issues remain to be litigated.]

The proposed class is limited to those Pinnacle hip systems featuring a liner made of cobalt-chromium metal and a femoral head made of metal.  Given its metallic constituent parts, the proposed class device falls into a category of hip inserts known as “metal-on-metal” implants.
