Merchant Law Group LLP is pursuing national class action litigation against CHRYSLER GROUP LLC and CHRYSLER CANADA INCORPORATED on behalf of Canadians who currently own or lease (or have previously owned or leased) a Chrysler vehicle equipped defective ignition switch, alleging that these vehicles suffer from a design defect which puts drivers at risk of the ignition switch moving from the “ON” position to the “OFF” position while driving, resulting in amongst other things:
- loss of electrical power
- loss of power-steering function
- loss of electrical brake-assisting
- loss of air-bag function
Affected Chrysler vehicles include (but are not limited to):
- Dodge Grand Caravan – 2008 to 2010
- Chrysler Town and Country – 2008 to 2010
- Dodge Journey – 2008 to 2010
- Jeep Commanders – 2006 and 2007
- Jeep Grand Cherokees – 2005 and 2006
The class action seeks compensation and repair for affected Chrysler vehicle owners or lessees due to the alleged safety defect, regardless of whether or not you have experienced an unexpected ignition shutting down or not.
The class actions will seek financial compensation or benefits for affected Canadians who own or lease one of the defective vehicles in question.
