Ford Sudden Acceleration Class Action

Merchant Law Group LLP has launched class action litigation against Ford for the above vehicle models alleging that a design problem exists in these Ford vehicles which are equipped with an electronic throttle control system but not a brake override system.

These class action lawsuits will contend that Ford owners have experienced incidences of sudden unintended acceleration due to this design defect and that Ford should have equipped its vehicles with brake override system or another fail-safe system. The class action seeks to have the above vehicle models recalled, properly repaired and equipped by Ford, and compensation paid to Ford vehicle owners for the reduced value of the affected vehicles due to the safety defect.

This litigation will allege that the above Ford vehicles are equipped with an electronic throttle control system which may suddenly accelerate without driver input and against the intentions of the driver. The class actions will seek financial compensation or benefits for affected Canadians who own or lease one of the defective vehicles in question.
