Propecia and Proscar, used to treat baldness and enlarged prostates, are alleged to cause various side effects, including the increased risk of high-grade prostate cancer, an increased risk of male breast cancer, sexual dysfunction, and other health complications.

In our lawsuit, we allege that Merck Frosst Canada failed to adequately warn the public of the dangers and risks associated with using this drug. The monograph product information has already been changed to include these warnings in several European countries. Why not here?

Cancer is one of the most painful, expensive, and potentially deadly illnesses anyone can go through. We seek compensation for the damages for all of the patients who were hurt by this product.

How does a class action suit work?

Hundreds of thousands of men have taken Propecia and Proscar. After awhile, pursuing individual personal injury suits over these cancers becomes less effective and less feasible.

Instead, all of the individuals injured by an organization’s negligence band together to hold that company accountable. This means huge, major settlements that can make companies sit up, take notice, and cease their bad behavior—which is all many injured individuals want.

Lawyers pursuing the case work on contingency, which means no member of the class pays legal fees up front. The remainder of the settlement is distributed evenly amongst all members of the class.
