Biocell Breast Implants Canadian Class Action

If you had a Biocell textured breast implant and got sick as a result, you may be eligible for personal injury compensation.

Merchant Law Group LLP is prosecuting Canada-wide class action litigation on behalf of all Canadian women who may be at risk of developing implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) due to Allergan’s recalled Biocell breast implants. In 2017, a safety review on implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) found that the rate of BIA-ALCL in Canada is significantly higher in patients with macro-textured breast implants. Allergan recalled Biocell breast implants as a result, but people like you still got hurt.

How do I know if I have Biocell Implants?

Check your medical device card. It will tell you whether it’s an Allergan implant, the type, the device serial number, and the model number, which you can then compare to the recall information published by Allergan.

What are the symptoms of BIA-ALCL?

Symptoms include swelling, fluid accumulation in the breast around the implant, lumps, pain, changes in the size of your breasts, or redness. See a doctor right away if you have any of these symptoms. Do not try to self-diagnose. Get a diagnosis from a qualified physician.

How does a class action lawsuit work?

A class action gathers a large group of plaintiffs together to resolve their complaints in a single court case. It is the appropriate type of court case when many people have been hurt and when it’s not necessarily practical for every single one of them to bring an individual personal injury case to court.

You pay no legal fees unless these class action lawsuits are successful. Our law firm take all the risk of paying the expenses and costs of prosecuting these class actions. [Our lawyers will only be paid a contingency percentage (upon approval from the Canadian Courts) IF this class action reaches a successful conclusion and provides individual compensation options to Canadian victims of the Biocell implants.]

Please note, contacting our lawyers regarding the Biocell Breast Implants Class Action creates no financial obligation for you and your information will be kept confidential.
