News: 1 dead following ATV rollover in Athabasca

COLINTON, AB – Athabasca RCMP units were called to the scene of a fatal ATV rollover north of Colinton on the evening of Friday, April 16.

According to Canada Police Report, the accident happened close to Range Road 223 on the Trans Canada Trail. Emergency responders received reports of the incident at 6:43 p.m. that evening and were on the scene shortly thereafter. They pronounced the 32-year-old male operator of the ATV dead at the scene. That individual’s identity will not be released.

The circumstances of the crash were unclear at the time of their report, and investigations were ongoing.
