News: Edmonton crash kills pedestrian

EDMONTON, AB – A crash in northwest Edmonton took the life of a pedestrian Wednesday, according to Canada Police Report.

The incident occurred around 10:05 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of 142 St and 153 Ave. A Subaru driven by a 31-year-old  was traveling north on 142 St when it strayed off the road and hit a pedestrian on the sidewalk.

First responders pronounced the pedestrian died at the scene. The driver of the Subaru was hospitalized with serious but not life-threatening injuries. He is charged with impaired driving.
