News: Multi-vehicle crash reported on 36th St. at 16th Ave.

CALGARY, AB – YYC Transportation reported a collision involving at least two vehicles occurred in northeast Calgary on Sunday afternoon.

The accident took place on April 18th at about 2:50 p.m. within the southbound lanes of 36th Street near the intersection with 16th Avenue Northeast.

It is unclear exactly how many vehicles were involved in the crash, or if any injuries were sustained as a result. However, traffic was stop-and-go for about a half-hour following the crash, causing significant delays in the area.

All lanes were reopened just before 3:30 p.m.
