CALGARY, AB – Police were on the scene of a traffic incident at the intersection of 8 Avenue and 11 Street SW late last night, YYC Transportation reports.

The incident blocked the southbound lanes of 11 St for several hours beginning at 11 p.m. yesterday, and necessitated shutting down all traffic between 7 Avenue and 8 Ave until at least 3 a.m. today.

The nature of the incident remains unclear at this time, and we do not know if anyone was injured. However, we will continue to follow this story, and will provide updates where possible.
