News: RCMP vehicle strikes, injures bicyclist in Grande Prairie

GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB – An RCMP vehicle on its way to a crash scene on Saturday collided with a bicycle in the V.L.A. neighborhood of Grand Prairie, injuring its rider.

According to Canada Police Reports, the RCMP officer was heading to a collision at 100 Street and 110 Avenue at 3:30 a.m. on April 24 when they collided with a 28-year-old male bicyclist at 107 Avenue and 98 Street. Emergency medical responders took the injured cyclist to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) is investigating the crash. We will continue to follow this developing story and provide relevant details as they are reported.
