News Update: Officials release identities of two killed in avalanche

JASPER, AB – Officials have released the names of the two men killed in avalanche on Mt. Andromeda Sunday, reports Global News.

Andrew Abel and Nathaniel Johnson were the two killed. ABel was an apprentice guide and Johnson was a climbing instructor. The avalanche occurred around 7:45 a.m.

Hikers in the area witnessed the avalanche and contacted Parks Canada. Rescue crews worked with dogs to locate the victims.
