News: Woman struck, injured by car in Queenslands Downs

CALGARY, AB – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a car Monday night, reports Global News.

A woman in her 20s was struck by a 2009 Hyundai Accent at the intersection of Canyon Meadows Dr and Deer Ridge Dr SE around 10:15 a.m. The force of the collision sent the woman flying several feet.

Following the accident, the driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene. It is unclear whether that individual will face criminal charges.

The victim remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
