News: Edmonton Police investigating suspicious road death

EDMONTON, AB – Emergency responders rushed a man to a hospital on Sunday morning after he was discovered lying in the middle of a roadway. He has since died, and Edmonton police are investigating the incident as a suspicious death.

According to Canada Police Report, police were alerted to the incident by a passing motorist at about 4:30 a.m. on April 25. They arrived at 94 Street and 111 Avenue to find an injured 45-year-old man lying in the roadway. Paramedics were called, and the victim was determined to be in critical condition. They rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later.

The cause of his injuries is unknown at this time, although it may have been vehicular. Police are continuing to investigate.
