News: Elderly man dies from injuries following crash with garbage truck on April 19

LAS VEGAS, NV – An 86-year-old man died from his injuries Tuesday following a collision with a garbage truck on April 19, reports KTNV.

The April 19 incident occurred near the intersection of Dean Martin Drive and Post Road. Officials say the man did not appear to have life-threatening injuries at the time of the accident and was taken to the hospital. He eventually died from blunt injuries from the crash, according to the coroner.

Alden Quimpo, 54, was the driver of the garbage truck. Quimpo did not show signs of impairment at the time of the accident and remained on the scene following the incident.
