News: Motorcyclist on strikes pole, dies in Edmonton

EDMONTON, AB – A motorcyclist is dead after they lost control and slammed into a pole Wednesday morning, according to Canada Police Report.

Officers were dispatched to Yellowhead Tr and Fort Rd around 10:50 a.m. Wednesday morning. A Honda driven by a 24-year-old man was driving westbound on Yellowhead Tr when, for reasons unknown, they lost control and collided with a pole.

The rider was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Edmonton Police Service Major Collision Investigations Section is looking into the cause of the crash. They suspect speed may have been a factor.
